Friday Finds: Evie 100% Wool Felt Plush Heirloom Doll by claraclips

Introducing "Evie," a plush heirloom doll that your little girl will want to carry in her  pocket all the time, and probably want to be tucked with in bed. This sweetheart is hand cut and hand-stitched by Claraclips and made of 100% wool. Friday Finds: Custom Art Quilt of your favorite Pet by castillejacotton

I was blown away by this intricate and colorful quilt by castillejacotton. Diane worked on this quilt of Delilah, a bull mastiff/golden retriever cross from a photograph and captured her beautifully! Friday Finds: ceramic Christmas Tree Snowflake Ornaments by ButlerPottery

Joyce has created these beautiful snowflakes ornaments out of ceramic. She first rolls out some clay and then cuts the shape. After brushing the color she then fires the ornament for the second time and brushes a mother-of-pearl glaze to give it some iridescence. This vibrant pair of earrings is made by Jennifer from Winnipeg-based ToxieDesigns. In case you were wondering, Toxie is Jennifer's nickname for the Amazonian warrior and archer Toxaris. Friday Finds: Icewalk by ljangphotography

This glorious picture of Maligne Canyon, at Jasper National Park Alberta was shot by Larry of ljangphotography. Taking avail of a rare opportunity to actually walk below in the canyon (which isn't possible during summer as the water thunders down as a waterfall), the viewer can see how the water here has frozen in time, up close and personal. The walls of the canyon are 50 feet high and it must be breathtaking to do the walk on the riverbed during winter. It's now on my bucket list! Larry has done a brilliant job of letting you almost experience it yourself!

This ring is a beautiful homage to Canada, made by Carla of LeChienNoirJewelry. Labradorite (named after Labrador, Canada where it is mined) has a gorgeous iridescence. Depending on how the light hits it, you will see a shimmer of grey, blue, black, silver and sometimes even orange. Friday Finds: The Pool After by PrankePaintings

This vibrant oil on canvas painting is a lovely representation of Canadian nature. It's also very reminiscent of the work done by the Group of Seven. Richard of PrankePaintings is a third generation artist from Montreal. His grandfather and father were artists too and the talent gene has definitely been passed on! This one is my favorite because of the starkness of the birches combined with the vibrant fall colors and turquoise water. Friday Finds: Recycled Chocolate Brown Winter mitts by RecycledandResewn

Looking at this stylish pair of mitts you would never guess that they have been recycled and repurposed from an old brown and turquoise sweater! Teresa of RecycledandResewn started experimenting with upcycling old sweaters into warm cozy mitts by lining them with polar fleece, way back in 2005 and successfully sold more than 130 pairs last year alone. She has now branched out into pillows and totes as well. More of her amazing talent can be viewed in her fab shop!

This is not your Grandma's apron! Be a domestic goddess (or pretend to be one) while doing tedious chores around the house wearing this leopard print Apron by Weezi. Today's find is a colorful wrap gemstone bracelet from Peacock&Lime. For those who love gemstones you can get your fix with this beauty! They've used a variety of gemstones like fancy jasper, rose quartz, fluorite, and aventurine coupled with metal beads and cultured pearls sewn onto dark brown leather and fastened with a vintage civil war/ military button. These wrap bracelets can be worn on the wrist or ankle and you can go for a daring look by wearing multiples.

 Michael of Anterosurbanwood has worked in different fields but has now found his niche in woodworking. His new shop on Etsy features his woodworked pens in a variety of woods and colours.

I was intrigued by this pen. It features Curly Maple Wood that has been dyed and worked under pressure to result in a beautiful grain. Coupled with a chrome finish, this makes for a sleek pen. It would be a beautiful souvenir or a classy gift when you don't know what to get someone!

Brrrr! It seems that the weather has changed and we've left summer behind! Now that Fall is almost here, and I say almost because the leaves haven't changed colour yet, we need to keep warm... fashionably ofcourse!

Arly has just the thing. From her studio in Montreal, she spins beautiful hats, mittens, scarves and baby accessories with luxurious, colorful yarn. My favourite is this pair of fingerless gloves in Bridal Rose. I love the attention to detail found in the romantic heart buttons. A perfect accessory for Fall or Winter!

Friday Finds: Vintage Portable Travel Bar

Last week the OSM gave an incredible outdoor concert in the park near our Montreal home. I think that the entire city attended! People came with their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the beautiful music. Our own set up was fairly laid back as we also had kids to wrangle, but if we'd had this amazing portable bar set we'd have been picnicking in style!
