This week, our tag workshop will focus on a lovely gemstone necklace by Joanniel Creations. The description reads:
This necklace is a beautiful, asymmetrical piece of wearable art. It starts out as one chain and leads into two chains after the black beads on either side. The Outer chain has the agate gemstones and the inner chain has the brushed metal pieces. You can wear this necklace with the beads on the right or on the left. The choice is yours.

Each list contains great examples of What and How tags. What is it made of, and how do you use it? When choosing words to describe the materials or style of your design, you can get creative and imagine what shoppers might ask for when looking for a similar piece. You can even list alternative words for color, or use different languages.

Thanks for the links to the do and don'ts, Mortira. I've been a bad, bad girl, tagging wise. I put as many words as I can in a tag, and I see now that I shouldn't.
It is tough to find a balance between effective tagging and staying in the lines!
One way to make the most out of your tags is to also include keywords within your title. But that's also a tricky thing to to just right. You've got to know how many words are too much!
When I search 'necklace, glass, stone,black,white',(the exact tags used) it shows up in the search as the 7th photo of 253 items.
When I search 'necklace, chain, agate, black, white' it doesnt' even show in that search of 55 items. Even if I add 'glass' to that search it doesn't show in 10 found. To me looking at the item, foremost it's a necklace I'm searching, it is made with chain, agate stones, glass, & colors black and white.

I just searched 'necklace, chain, gemstone, black, white, and still in 53 found it wasn't there. Hmmmm....
