Pinterest Board- Earth Day

New Team Promo: Pinterest Theme Boards

I’ve come up with a new promotion idea for the team using Pinterest which will replace the Friday Finds feature. I know that most of us are concerned that people don’t know about Etsy, and if they don’t know about it, we should be promoting our stuff elsewhere. We’ve decided to take advantage of the Pinterest button (now on every Etsy item page) and do a collective team promo that will benefit us all.

This is what the OCT Pinterest Promo will involve.

Teamies who’d like to participate must have a Pinterest account and follow the OCTPinterest account:

Every week, I’ll post a theme on the Etsy forum, and you will post ONE item from your shop that meets the criteria. I will then create a Pinterest board using your items. You will then follow the board and repin all the pins. Repinning from one item each results in greater views and therefore the likelihood of having a sale is higher based on the number of people following both the OCT boards and your own boards. We are aiming for a snowball effect: higher amount of repins= more exposure = more traffic to your etsy shop = more sales.
The theme will be based on Etsy Merchandising Desk dates. This will include holidays, seasonal trends, colors, etc.

The weekly promo schedule will be something like this:
Monday – Wednesday: post your one item for the theme board on the Etsy forum thread that I will set up
Thursday- Pinterest theme board is created on Pinterest
Thursday – Sunday- participants repin all items to their boards and promote using FB, Twitter, etc
