If there were a book of guidelines for being a patriotic Canadian, what would it say? Must Love: maple syrup, strong beer, icicles, hockey, furry woodland creatures and the maple leaf? Perhaps. Or maybe it would only be a polite suggestion to do whichever of those things you like the most. Maybe it would hint that red and white are the best colors to wear, to decorate with, and to look for when you make an all Canadian Etsy Treasury.

I have a book called "How to be Canadian" and it is hilarious. My boyfriend got it for his family, who live in Brazil, and when they were finished with it, they gave it back to us to enjoy.
My favorite is "Souvenir of Canada" by Doug Coupland.
