Oh Canada! Treasury Challenge

A big Oh Cananda congratulations to Alisa, of clonehardware, the winner of our last treasury challenge with her juicy Juicy Pear c0llection!

To enter this week's challenge, you must:
use an item from clonehardware in the top row of your collection

* post the link to your treasury in the comment section of this post by midnight (Ottawa time) Monday, April 15. If your treasury link isn’t here, your treasury isn’t entered in the challenge.

* use 5 more Oh, Canada team members in the top three rows. Incorporate as many team members as you like, but there must be at least 6 team members in the top three rows to qualify for the challenge.

* tag your treasury with octchallenge and ohcanadateam. This requirement is essential for providing the judges with one stop browsing.

* invite others to play and provide a link to the blog challenge. Just because it’d be cool to have guest players ;-)

Judging
How about you? Not into the treasury making thang, or just want to sit back for a bit? Please, be a narrow down judge, to help whittle the list of entries down to manageable size for voting. Be one of the first three folks to volunteer in the comment section of this post to take on this important role.
Since treasuries should not include an item from your own shop(s), challenge winners are cordially invited, but never expected, to help narrow down entries. If that's you, please let me know in the comment section of this post.

New Team Promo: Pinterest Theme Boards

I’ve come up with a new promotion idea for the team using Pinterest which will replace the Friday Finds feature. I know that most of us are concerned that people don’t know about Etsy, and if they don’t know about it, we should be promoting our stuff elsewhere. We’ve decided to take advantage of the Pinterest button (now on every Etsy item page) and do a collective team promo that will benefit us all.

This is what the OCT Pinterest Promo will involve.

Teamies who’d like to participate must have a Pinterest account and follow the OCTPinterest account:

Every week, I’ll post a theme on the Etsy forum, and you will post ONE item from your shop that meets the criteria. I will then create a Pinterest board using your items. You will then follow the board and repin all the pins. Repinning from one item each results in greater views and therefore the likelihood of having a sale is higher based on the number of people following both the OCT boards and your own boards. We are aiming for a snowball effect: higher amount of repins= more exposure = more traffic to your etsy shop = more sales.
The theme will be based on Etsy Merchandising Desk dates. This will include holidays, seasonal trends, colors, etc.

The weekly promo schedule will be something like this:
Monday – Wednesday: post your one item for the theme board on the Etsy forum thread that I will set up
Thursday- Pinterest theme board is created on Pinterest
Thursday – Sunday- participants repin all items to their boards and promote using FB, Twitter, etc

Oh Canada Team Treasury Challenge

Oh, Canada! The polls are open.

Thanks to Norma, of junquete, our treasury challenge entries have been narrowed down to four collections for voting.

OhCanadaTeam Treasury Challenge Finalists
